Court Approves Agreement Removing Teamsters Union From Federal Oversight

A federal judge in New York Feb. 17 approved an agreement between federal prosecutors and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters that will phase out federal oversight of the union’s internal affairs (United States v. Teamsters, S.D.N.Y., 88-cv-04486, 2/17/15).

The order, issued by Judge Loretta A.
