Corteva Worker to Get Trial on Retaliation, Whistleblower Claims

Corteva Agriscience LLC must face a jury on whether it retaliated against a safety manager for reporting discrimination against Filipinos during a company probe into an altercation between two coworkers, a Hawaii federal judge ruled.

David Jarvis could convince a jury that the alleged reprisals he was subjected to—negative job review, performance improvement plan, and termination—occurred within a time frame to support a causal link between his discrimination reporting and subsequent retaliatory job action, the US District Court for the District of Hawaii said Tuesday.
