A NewYork-Presbyterian neurologist who was fired after transitioning from male to female can proceed with her retaliation claim against Cornell University and her supervisor, a Manhattan federal court ruled.
Mackenzie Lerario sufficiently alleged that her supervisor Matthew Fink and other colleagues retaliated against her following her transition and complaints about mistreatment, the US District Court for the Southern District of New York said. It denied Cornell and Fink’s motion to dismiss.
Lerario worked at NYP as a neurologist from 2015 to 2020 under a medical services agreement between the hospital and Weill Cornell Medical Center, according to the opinion. She ...
