Contractor $15 Hourly Wage Order Survives Early Bid to Block It

A federal district court in Arizona has shut down several GOP-led states’ request to block President Joe Biden’s $15 minimum wage for federal contractors, granting summary judgment on behalf of the Biden administration.

Arizona, Idaho, Indiana, Nebraska, and South Carolina failed to show that the president went beyond his authority under the Procurement Act in ordering the pay raise, Judge John J. Tuchi of the US District Court for the District of Arizona said in denying their request for a preliminary injunction on Jan. 6.
