Members of a joint union association ratified an agreement with American Airlines on a five-year contract for 14,500 passenger service and reservation employees, boosting wages and allowing the carrier to merge the workforce under the same set of rules.
The accord won approval by a vote of 6,993, or 73 percent, in favor to 2,522, or 27 percent, against, the Communications Workers of America-International Brotherhood of Teamsters association said in a statement.
