Construction Group Sues Over Federal Project Labor Pact Rule

A construction industry group is asking a Florida federal court to toss a General Services Administration rule requiring contractors to enter into a project labor agreement on federal construction projects valued at over $35 million.

The lawsuit, brought by the Associated Builders and Contractors and one of its Florida-based chapters Thursday, argues the rule illegally discriminates against non-union contractors and would drive up the costs of federal construction work.
