Connecticut $15 Minimum Wage Bill Signed Into Law

Connecticut has joined the $15-minimum wage club, which now counts seven states as members.

Gov. Ned Lamont (D) signed a minimum wage measure (Public Act No. 19-4) at a May 28 ceremony in Hartford.

The new law raises the wage floor from the current $10.10 per hour to $11 in October and ultimately to $15 in 2023. The bill, backed by Democrats, passed the Senate on May 17 and House on May 9 on party-line votes.
