Community College Beats Professor’s Race Bias, Retaliation Case

An Arizona community college defeated allegations that it discriminated and retaliated against a Black professor and former social and behavioral sciences division chair who pushed for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

The professor didn’t provide enough evidence to get his race- or color-based disparate treatment claim against Pinal County Community College District, which operates Central Arizona College, in front of a jury, the US District Court for the District of Arizona said, granting the school summary judgment.
