Comcast Nabs Reprieve in Fired Worker’s Leave Interference Suit

Comcast Corp. and a subsidiary are temporarily free of claims they discouraged a former employee from taking time off and interfered with his protected medical leave rights, but a federal judge said the worker can try again.

The worker adequately alleged that Comcast discouraged him from taking time off under the Family and Medical Leave Act, but his complaint is missing details on whether he actually took less leave as a result, the US District Court for the Southern District of Texas said.
