Comcast Cable Underpaid Human Resource Managers, Lawsuit Says

A human resources manager claims that Comcast Cable Communications Management LLC intentionally misclassified him and other as exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act to avoid paying overtime wages in a new proposed collective action filed in Miami federal court.

Luis Bertot says he regularly averaged 17 hours of overtime each workweek while working as an HR manager but never received time-and-a-half wages for those additional hours, because Comcast classifies certain managers as exempt from the FLSA, according to the complaint.
