Colorado Eye Care Operator Settles EEOC Sexual Harassment Charge

Optical Masters, the operator of two Colorado eye care facilities has entered into a conciliation with the EEOC over a sexual harassment charge, the agency announced Thursday.

An investigation by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission found that the company’s owner sexually harassed an employee, who reported it to management, but the harassment persisted. This allegedly led the employee to resign.

Such alleged conduct violates Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the agency said. Per the three-year conciliation agreement, Optical Masters must implement Title VII training for all owners and management personnel and display a notice in its facilities ...
