Colorado Ban on Mandatory Anti-Union Meetings Goes to Governor

Colorado would ban mandatory workplace meetings where managers spread the company’s views on labor unions, politics, and religion, under legislation that’s headed to Gov. Jared Polis (D) for his signature.

The bill (HB 1260) mirrors union-backed laws enacted by a half dozen other Democratic-majority statehouses over the past two years including New York, often called “captive audience” meeting bans. The Colorado Senate passed the bill May 4 on a 23-11 vote, after the House approved it 45-19 on April 29.
