Cloudera Discriminates Against US Workers, DOJ Lawsuit Says

The Justice Department sued a Santa Clara-based software company that allegedly discriminates against US-born workers in favor of job candidates on temporary work visas.

Cloudera Inc. set up a separate recruiting and hiring process for US workers for the labor market test employers must clear before sponsoring foreign workers for a green card, the agency said in an administrative complaint announced Tuesday. The company intentionally failed to recruit US candidates in good faith for the permanent labor certification, or PERM, program in violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act, the DOJ alleged.
