Circle K Settles $8 Million EEOC Disability, Pregnancy Charges

Circle K Stores Inc. has agreed to pay $8 million to resolve disability, pregnancy, and retaliation discrimination charges brought by the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the agency announced Tuesday.

The EEOC alleged the company denied reasonable accommodations to pregnant and disabled employees and subjected them to retaliation. The conduct is in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Pregnancy Discrimination Act, said the agency.
