Christian Photographer Allowed to Refuse Same-Sex Weddings (1)

A Christian photographer in Louisville is shielded by the First Amendment from being compelled to provide services for same-sex weddings, and she can’t be barred from expressing her views on marriage on her personal and business websites, a federal judge ruled.

The US District Court for the Western District of Kentucky’s decision Tuesday made permanent an injunction previously granted to Chelsey Nelson Photography and Chelsey Nelson Photography LLC, prohibiting the Louisville/Jefferson County Metro Government from enforcing its 1999 Fairness Ordinance against Nelson or her business.
