Chipotle Sued for Religious Bias Against Teen Worker in Hijab

The EEOC is suing Chipotle for religious discrimination over allegations a teen worker was harassed for wearing a hijab at its Lenexa, Kan., restaurant location, the agency announced Thursday.

According to the lawsuit, the restaurant allegedly allowed a manager to repeatedly harass the employee, asking her to remove her hijab and show her hair. On one occasion, the manager forcibly removed part of the teen’s covering, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said.
