Chevron Corp. widened travel benefits for health care this month as US corporations figure out ways to provide abortion access to their employees after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last week.
The California-based energy giant’s human resources department sent an email to staff notifying them of the benefit change this week, people familiar with the matter said, asking not to be identified discussing internal matters. The company joins BP Plc and Royal Dutch Shell Plc in changing health care benefits just as Texas -- where all three have large operations -- aims to all but ban abortion.
