Chavez-DeRemer Misconduct Probe to Close Soon, DOL Official Says

The Department of Labor’s internal watchdog aims to wrap up the probe into former Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer by mid-June, the agency’s inspector general told Bloomberg Law Tuesday.

DOL Inspector General Anthony D’Esposito said his office has finished the investigation into misconduct allegations against the former secretary and are now working on the report, which should be sent to Congress in several weeks.

“This is a chapter we’d like to put behind us,” he said.
