The US Supreme Court denied a request to hear a challenge to an Obama-era program giving work authorization to H-1B visa holders’ spouses.
The justices’ decision Monday not to take up the case leaves in place a March ruling from the US District Court for the District of Columbia tossing the lawsuit by Save Jobs USA, a group representing US-born tech workers in Southern California.
The organization sought to overturn work authorization for 90,000 holders of H-4 visas, which are issued to the spouses and dependent children of temporary workers like those on H-1B visas.
