A New Jersey woman lacks job bias claims against Centerview Partners LLC under New York state and city laws because Covid-19 limited her to working from home during her 2.5 months with the company, a Manhattan federal judge ruled.
According to Karen Shiber, she began her stint in Centerview’s three-year analyst program in July 2020 and by late August realized she was expected to work extremely long hours. That included being admonished by email for not first seeking permission to log off at 1 a.m. after starting work at 8 a.m., she says.
