Celebrity Chef José Andrés Recognizes Union at DC Restaurant (1)

Renowned Chef José Andrés has voluntarily recognized a union at The Bazaar, a flagship restaurant of his in Washington, sidestepping a potentially messy fight with workers.

“We hope in coming to the table together we can work cooperatively to preserve good jobs that will employ workers for years to come,” Chloe Mata Crane, a spokeswoman for Andrés’ restaurant group, said in a statement Friday.
