CBRE Mostly Defeats Former Employee’s Bias Lawsuit Over Firing

CBRE Capital Markets Inc. beat as untimely claims that a former worker faced gender and disability discrimination in violation of Florida law.

But Erin Efstathion can advance a breach of contract claim over CBRE’s alleged failure to pay her commissions she earned while on a forced leave of absence prior to her firing, Judge Melissa Damian of the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida said Wednesday.
