Cato Report Addresses Criticisms Of Comprehensive Immigration Overhaul

Legalized immigrants earn higher wages and pay more in taxes than undocumented workers and a legalization plan would expand the economy, Stuart Anderson, an adjunct scholar at the Cato Institute, said during a Capitol Hill briefing May 20.

Anderson said the “best approach” for advocates of an overhaul of the nation’s immigration laws is to “take seriously the arguments of critics” and “explain why these arguments are incorrect.”
