A small Catholic university in Florida could become the next battleground for union rights at religious colleges, with a recently disbanded faculty union threatening to take its case to the incoming Biden administration.

The faculty union at St. Leo University, a liberal arts college 30 miles north of Tampa, says it received notice in October that the board of trustees would no longer recognize the union, founded in 1976.
