A California federal district court granted in part and denied in part, Inglewood Sportservice Inc. and Delaware North Companies Inc.’s motion for summary judgment on an employee’s claims for failure to pay wages and overtime and provide rest and meal breaks, alleging that she wasn’t paid for time spent undergoing pre-entry security checks required by the third-party venue where she worked and that her breaks were shortened because of the security checks. Although Sportservice didn’t require the security checks, sufficient evidence shows that it enforced compliance with the checks through disciplinary measures.
