A Connecticut federal district court granted a motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction a Connecticut Wage Act claim brought by a remote employee who alleged the CEO of BoomTV, Inc. failed to pay him the remainder of a promised bonus, finding that while Connecticut’s long-arm statute might reach the CEO, exercising jurisdiction would violate due process requirements because the CEO lacked sufficient minimum contacts with Connecticut and his only connection to the state was through the employee’s unilateral relocation there.
