A Pennsylvania federal district court denied Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority’s supplemental motion for summary judgment on Family and Medical Leave Act interference and retaliation claims brought by a bus driver with sickle cell anemia who was terminated after calling out of work, finding that disputed issues of material fact existed regarding whether the bus driver provided adequate notice of his intention to take FMLA leave and whether he was denied benefits to which he was entitled under the act.
