A federal district court in Ohio granted summary judgment to the United States Postal Service on a retired mail carrier’s claims that she wasn’t paid overtime in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and that she was demoted from acting supervisor in retaliation for filing a grievance with a union. The court ruled that a reasonable jury couldn’t find that she performed the alleged overtime because she neglected to properly make required clock rings on several occasions or to properly file the necessary form when she made errors.
