A California federal court denied a motion for preliminary approval of settlement of the Fair Labor Standards Act collective and Private Attorney General Act claims of a group of environmental technicians who worked on Tetra Tech, Inc. projects where, among other things, there is insufficient information to assess the adequacy of the settlement amount, the Rule 23 notice didn’t inform class members of their right to appear through an attorney, and the FLSA opt-in procedure and notice are defective.
