A Virginia federal district court granted summary judgment to ZZIM USA, Inc. on a body scrubber’s claim of overtime violations under the Fair Labor Standards Act, finding that the plaintiff was exempt from overtime requirements under federal law because her compensation was a bona fide commission scheme where she received a percentage of customer payments plus tips, her pay exceeded one-and-a-half times the minimum wage, and her compensation was sufficiently “decoupled” from actual hours worked.
