Removal of a class action alleging violations of California labor laws was proper under the Class Action Fairness Act, where class size, diversity of citizenship, and amount in controversy exceeding $5,000,000 met requirements, and CAFA’s exceptions were inapplicable, including mandatory local and home state controversy exceptions, because a similar class action was filed first and Rural/Metro wasn’t a California citizen, a federal court ruled.
