The NLRB resolved a work jurisdiction dispute under Section 10(k) of the National Labor Relations Act over the installation of monitor brackets to trade show structures to mount flat screen display monitors, for an employer providing trade show and exposition services in the convention industry in Las Vegas, Nevada, in favor of International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 631 represented employees. The board found International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 357 failed to show the work was covered by its CBA with the trade show employer, while the IBT Local 631 CBA language giving it jurisdiction over “erection” and “assembly” work ...
