The National Labor Relations Board affirmed a decision finding that Kroger had unlawfully stopped union dues deductions from workers’ paychecks in multiple Texas stores where the employees were represented by the United Food and Commercial Workers union. The board upheld the administrative law judge’s ruling that Kroger had violated the National Labor Relations Act when it stopped deducting union dues from employees pay in three union-represented stores while they were engaged in collective bargaining negotiations with the union, during which time the contract expired.
