The National Labor Relations Board denied a motion to approve a settlement agreement between Permobil, Inc., and one of its employees, regarding unlawful provisions of an employment agreement that interfered with the employee’s rights under the National Labor Relations Act. The Board ruled that although the settlement agreement provides for a resolution of the dispute between the company and the employee, it fails to address the public interest in protecting the statutory rights of the other employees subject to the unlawful provisions of the employment agreement.
