The NLRB majority opinion upheld the regional director’s decision to hold a decertification election for a unit of equipment operators and specialists at a power company. The majority stated that the regional director’s interpretation of the relevant contracts and agreements on the matter was reasonable and shouldn’t be overturned. The dissent argued that the contracts and agreements in effect prevented a decertification election at this time under the contract bar doctrine.
