The National Labor Relations Board affirmed the ruling of the administrative law judge that an International Longshoremen’s Association local violated the National Labor Relations Act by threatening and refusing to refer a member for appropriate work opportunities. The board agreed with the ALJ that the union had unlawfully refused to refer the member for work opportunities due to the member’s dissident union activity - with evidence that they actively discouraged the activity in a threatening manner.
