The Missouri Court of Appeals reversed a circuit court’s judgment and reinstated the Lake Ozark Fire Protection District Board’s decision to terminate a battalion chief’s employment under a collective bargaining agreement with International Association of Fire Fighters Local 3987, finding that the board had just cause to terminate the firefighter for insubordination when he used prohibited foam without a life safety issue present and changed another battalion chief’s leave status without proper approval, resulting in financial benefit to himself.
