Arbitrator Nicholas Taldone held that Transdev Services didn’t violate the wage progression article of the CBA when it promoted a Class C mechanic to Class B and based his wage progression on time within classification rather than his time employed by the company. The CBA is ambiguous in that it sets forth an “Increase Date,” below that “Start,” and then time periods within each level of mechanic, but it doesn’t indicate whether the time period is time with the company or time within classification.
