Arbitrator Dale A. Slagley ruled that Henkel Consumer Products didn’t violate its contract with the Teamsters union by moving work performed by three maintenance planner scheduler positions from the bargaining unit to non-represented employees and reassigning the three incumbent maintenance planner schedulers to other positions. In between the time the union filed the grievance and the time the arbitration hearing took place, collective bargaining negotiations took place, during which the union acquiesced to management’s position regarding the maintenance planning schedulers.
