Sergent sustained the SEIU’s grievance over the school district’s decision to give the grievant a five-day suspension for allegedly engaging in improper and unprofessional conduct toward a co-worker. Specifically, the grievant was accused of a verbal altercation with the co-worker, during which bad language was used, which was overheard by several students.
