AT&T Enterprises, AT&T Incorporated, and Illinois Bell Telephone Company, LLC’s motion to dismiss the Employee Retirement Income Security Act interference claim of a technician alleging his discharge was intentional to interfere with vesting of his pension is partially denied, an Illinois federal court ruled, where it can be plausibly inferred that he was fired to save the companies approximately $280,000 to $560,000 that he was owed if he remained employed until his higher tiered pension vested.
