The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit affirmed the denial of Federal Employees’ Retirement System disability retirement benefits under 5 U.S.C. § 8451 to an operational support technician with seizures by the Office of Personnel Management, ruling that the employee’s inability to commute to work due to her seizures is not a factor in determining whether she can render “useful and efficient service” under the statute.
