A Florida federal district court granted summary judgment to Southeastern Grocers, Inc. d/b/a Winn-Dixie on sexual harassment claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and the Florida Civil Rights Act brought by a 16-year-old female Hispanic cashier, finding that the co-worker’s conduct was not sufficiently severe or pervasive to create a hostile work environment, and even if it were, the employer was not liable because she failed to follow the company’s anti-harassment reporting policy and the company took prompt remedial action when notified.
