A Maryland federal court denied summary judgment to the Florida Gulf Coast University Board of Trustees on a sex discrimination claim under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act by a terminated female chief of police, finding that she adequately cited several instances where she was treated less favorably than her male colleagues to reasonably support sex discrimination, including that she was given a lower salary than her male predecessor and she was replaced by a male with no experience as a chief.
