A Virginia federal district court granted summary judgment to Stand Together Chamber of Commerce on the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act retaliation claim of a senior administrative assistant who was terminated after using his company credit card for alcohol during work hours and being dishonest during the investigation, ruling that the employer had legitimate non-discriminatory reasons for termination and the employee failed to show pretext or that his participation in an internal harassment investigation constituted protected activity.
