A North Carolina federal district court partially denied Fayetteville State University’s motion to dismiss retaliation and hostile work environment claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act brought by an Afro-Latina head of reference librarian who alleged she suffered increased workload and other adverse actions after reporting discriminatory treatment of library employees of color, finding she plausibly alleged she engaged in protected activity and suffered retaliatory conduct that could be attributed to her employer.
