A Utah federal district court denied summary judgment to Bristol Hospice Holdings on the claims of an age-protected female human resources benefits generalist that she faced retaliatory discharge for filing an EEO complaint, in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, ruling that there was a genuine dispute as to whether there was temporal proximity between her protected activities and her discharge, as well as whether there was a legitimate, non-discriminatory reason for the discharge.
