A California federal court ruled that an employee of Fenton Charter Public Schools may proceed with her complaint that the school district unlawfully terminated her and retaliated against her based on her religious beliefs, where she sufficiently alleged an adverse action, when she was placed on unpaid leave after requesting a religious accommodation to its Covid-19 vaccination policy, and her income, bonus, health insurance and retirement benefits ceased immediately causing financial hardship.
