A Mississippi federal district court denied Entergy Mississippi, LLC’s motion to dismiss race discrimination claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and 42 U.S.C. § 1981 brought by a White former Journeyman lineman who alleged he was terminated because of his race and replaced by a Black employee, finding that the lineman adequately pleaded facts making his discrimination claim plausible and could maintain alternative theories of discrimination and retaliation at the pleading stage.
