A Florida federal district court denied Unique Healthcare Systems, LLC d/b/a AFC Urgent Care’s motion to dismiss race discrimination claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and the Florida Civil Rights Act brought by a White female receptionist with multiple sclerosis who alleged she was terminated for calling out of work while Black female employees were permitted to do so without consequences, finding the receptionist adequately alleged differential treatment of similarly situated employees outside her protected class.
